To provide a transformational learning journey
for every pupil in Pathlight
and develop each child to the
best of his potential in both academic and life skills
The school’s goal is to develop the maximum potential and stretch the capability of each of our pupils. Every child, whether he has special learning needs or not, deserves that opportunity.
In Pathlight, we hope to build a strong foundation for all our pupils so that they will grow up to be confident and mature individuals who are able to hold jobs, live as independently as they can and do their bit to contribute back to society.

Our Unique Features
Education in Singapore is typically classified as either "Mainstream" or "Special".
Pathlight is driven to providing a unique Blend of Academics and Life-Readiness Skills for children with autism and related disorders.
Our unique features include:
Rigorous teacher selection and training process
Individualised Education Planning
Curriculum blending mainstream subjects and life skills eg social, self-management and communication skills
Strong integration programmes with mainstream buddy support for autism-friendly learning
Personal intensive support for autism-friendly learning
Who will Benefit from a Pathlight Education?
For some children who are able to access mainstream academics but require an additional Foundation year to build their school readiness for a typical mainstream school or Pathlight School's Primary 1 Programme, will benefit from our Primary 1 Foundation Programme. Students from this programme will move on to Primary 1 Standard the following year.
For students who are suitable to pursue the PSLE, GCE 'O' and 'N' Level examinations, but face challenges in academics, social interaction and communications in a typical mainstream school, Pathlight offers an alternative education which provides autism-friendly accommodations.
Values:
Education
We believe that education is one of the greatest equalizers in life. A good education is a key passport to achieving independence and maturity.
No child who is assessed to be suitable for a placement in Pathlight School should be deprived because he/ she cannot afford it.
Each pupil will have an Individual Education Plan based on his key learning needs and executed diligently by the school, family and other stakeholders.
Quality
We believe that anything that is worth doing is worth doing well.
We commit to delivering professional and quality education service according to our high quality and ethical standards.
We are willing to challenge each other and not accept the status quo.
We strive to benchmark ourselves against best practices in the education and other sectors.
We do not stop learning knowing that continuous improvement is the only way to quality.
Inclusion
We believe that people with special needs eg. autism, should be included as far as possible in the mainstream community.
We plan and maximize opportunities to promote the regular interaction of people with and without special needs.
We will be the catalyst to educate society on people with autism and vice versa.
We actively listen to our people and customers and act upon this information to improve our relationships and services.
Collaboration
In pursuing our mission, we proactively partner our key stakeholders like the pupils’ family caregivers, staff, education and community service agencies to achieve quality outcomes for our pupils and staff.
We actively act upon constructive inputs that will further our school mission and improve our services.
We plan regular communication opportunities with our pupils’ families, staff and sponsors to seek their inputs and update them on our plans, achievements and challenges.
